Steps
Open Genify and tap Scan in the bottom navigation.
Allow camera access if prompted.
Place the business card, badge, or QR code clearly inside the camera frame.
Review the extracted name, company, email, phone, and other details.
Add tags, connection type, notes, or event context before saving.
Best scanning conditions
Use good lighting, keep the card flat, and avoid glare on glossy cards.
If the scan is incomplete, manually edit the fields before saving the contact.
What Genify does after a scan
Genify turns the card into a contact record and lets you enrich it with context so it becomes useful for follow-up, not just storage.
Depending on your workflow, you can add notes, tasks, tags, event context, and CRM sync decisions.
Common fixes
If the camera does not open, check camera permission in your device settings.
If text is wrong, retake the scan in better light or edit the contact manually.
If QR detection fails, move closer and make sure the QR code is not cropped.
