Tasks, Notes & Follow-Up

How do I create a task for a contact?

Create contact-specific tasks so follow-ups, check-ins, and next steps stay visible.

Short answer

Open a contact, add a task, choose the date and time if needed, and save it. Tasks help you remember what to do next for that relationship.

Steps

1

Open the contact.

2

Go to the Tasks section.

3

Choose Add task.

4

Write the action you need to take.

5

Set a date, time, or priority if available, then save.

Good task examples

Examples include "send deck," "check in next Friday," "introduce to Maya," "send pricing," or "follow up after conference."

Tasks work best when they describe a concrete action, not a vague intention.

Common fixes

If the time selector is open, scroll until the desired hour, minute, and AM/PM are centered.

If a task is complete, mark it done so your active list stays clean.

If a task belongs to a different contact, open that contact before creating it.

Frequently asked questions

Are tasks the same as reminders?

In Genify, Tasks are relationship next steps. They can work like reminders, but they are tied to contact context.
